VIP guests gathered at the Copthorne Hotel last night as they were invited to an exclusive NUFC lingerie photo shoot. Canapés, champagne, and Indian head massages were a handful of many treats guests also managed to enjoy...luxury personified.

NE1's NFW - Northumbria GRADUATE FASHION SHOW
By Lisa JC
Breathtaking. That is the only word I can use to describe yesterday's Northumbria University Graduate Fashion Show, as part of NE1's Newcastle Fashion Week.
For the second year running the Baltic Mill, Gateshead, was host to the sell-out show. It is the perfect venue that creates modern space, a high fashion atmosphere, and excellent lighting to showcase collections that Northumbria Fashion students have worked so hard to create.
Hair was by Shakespeare's and make-up by Sarah Stonehouse and team.
The show opened with designer Emily Edge and her menswear collection. Think vicar hats, long tailored coats with suede panelling, and ice blue lambswool jumpers. A unique blend of classic pieces infused with new generation vivid print.
Amelia Smith
A treat for the eyes! Russian themes stretched throughout the collection with black fur hats, black and gold patterning upon structure dresses, and white tights...Russian dolls perhaps? Those without the fur hats wore black ear muffs.
Katie Briggs
My eyes lit up when this collection came on the catwalk. Navy leather jackets, fitted high-waist trousers, floral jump suits, and an over sized blazer. A particular favourite was the floor length white dress with an exaggerated collar and green, blue, and yellow detail on the hemline.
Charlotte Hopkins
Possibly one of my favourites of the show. Romantic creams, gold silk/chiffon dresses with gold metallic detail, and coral trousers. A dreamy collection that I quite frankly want in my wardrobe!
The show closed with designer Gary Wilson. A show stopping collection to say the least. All models wore black bobs with heavy fringes, some even without a heel on the shoe (bravo to whoever managed to walk in them!) Striking black leather silhouettes, ripped tights, and leather harnessing detail was a running theme in this collection. A contrast outfit of all the designs was an electric blue silk dress that felt monumental as it flowed down the catwalk.
The only disappointment was the show ending. It will be exciting to see the progression of Northumbria University's Fashion students as they've set the creative bar very high.
Northumbria's Programme Leader of Fashion, Emma Jane Goldsmith said: "Northumbria fashion graduates have always been extremely employable, skillful, hard-working, natural-born team players and, of course, exceptionally talented.
"Our graduates of 2011 have gone on to secure prestigious positions within the international fashion world, located in the UK, France and USA."
Watch this space, you might very well see some of this year's graduates showcasing at London Fashion Week...
